Course details

Course design: Based on our popular and proven methodology, of course, with lots of love and experience.

For this new format, we cooperate with our parent-institute, TTI (Teacher Training Institute) DaF in Freiburg. Beside a curriculum which contains a lot of Insula material, we've developed a different format: The Teacher Training Cologne is part-time, twice a week in the evenings (teaching practice) + Saturdays (Grammar and Methodology). Observation in our running courses are also part of the training.

Duration: 4 months

Timetable: Saturdays, 10h00 - 15h00, 1-2 evenings per week 18h00 - 21h30/18h00 - 21h00

Contents:

40 hours methodology
20 hours grammar
36 hours teaching practice
30 hours feedback and supervision
20 hours observation

Methodological approach:

The course is based on the English CELTA format, an internationally recognized certificate with a high reputation

Price: 1.547,00 €

Requirements for registration:

Abitur
Application interview
Basic knowledge of German grammar is helpful, but it is also a main part of the curriculum and threrefore not required beforehand
Registration up to 2 weeks before course start, after successful application interview

Insula is a great language school to learn German in Cologne! It is like a family for me learning with them for 7 months. They offer a lot of courses from intensive to stress-free, and also online courses. I love the small group environment to make sure of the progress and focus for every student. The insula is a unique language school with interactive teaching methods.
